This is the second part of the story about Waqas Akram, If you haven’t read the previous part of this story then you can read it by Clicking on this link…

Part-2:

After deciding the project waqas told his group mates about it..
But all the three group mates (Imad Khan, Gibran Oliver & Naseh Raoon) were not very much convienced at his idea.. Anyhow, they all started working on the Solar Panel..
Since there were four members in the group so they decided about expanding their project and add an “All Band Radio Receiver” in their Solar Powered device.. So their finalized project was to make a “Solar Powered All Band Radio Reciever“..

The Science fair was near and waqas decieded to take participation.. thinking that the project is good enough to catch the eyes of everyone.. But the only problem in their way was that their solar device was not completed by that time.. the time was very short and project exhibition date was near.. They all came up with an idea of hiring an electrician who can help them in completing their job on time..
Naseh hired an electrician named Syed Ali Shamshad who works in a hardware shop near Sir Syed University, Karachi.
They all started working on the project along with the shammo electrician but still only managed to complete the half portion of the actual project (i.e the solar part), the radio receiver portion was still not completed yet..
On the D-day, they presented their work as “The Solar Powered Charge Controller“, by removing the Radio thing and replacing it with a Light Bulb.
As the whole group was busy in working on the circuitry, they got no time for practicing about the questions that might be asked to them by the visitors.

Waqas was so much impressed by himself on thinking about the making of solar powered device, he shared his precious views with Imad and told him that we should do some enhancements in this device and add some extra features n modules and continue working on it in our finals.. he further told Imad that,

We will expand this project as a Solar Powered Kick Ass SUPARCO Satellite Controller Cum All Band Radio Receiver.

Imad wasn’t impressed by the idea and suggested him to add some Bluetooth kinda stuff in it.. he said it will be great if there will be a feature of HD-DvD playback so that it will include a great option for using the device for not only work, but also for time pass by watching whatever people want..

The science fair started and somehow they manage to give explanation and presentation about their project..
After that day till the end of semester waqas always keep talking about his solar panel.. no matter what would be the topic of discussion he always brought his panel in the discussion..

In the end of the semester, for doing the hard work of thinking and for choosing a great project, & for keep bringing his solar panel in every talk the group rewarded Waqas with a new name as Waqas Akram Solar Panel.
